After high school, Mike, Dustin and Eric moved to Ravenna. There two of these young men would meet the two most important women in their lives. Enter Jon, Mallory and Megan. And, of course no one would want to leave out Paco. The sweet little kitten that would become the center of conversations to break awkward silences. Mallory and Megan would soon graduate high school. Mallory asked Eric to her senior prom but he declined. Mike would be her date for her senior prom. After prom, how could Mike have known how much his life would change when Mallory introduced him to Kerri.
The new friends began hanging out more and more. They were finding things in common and learning about one another. Discovering they fit together. They were young and they were having fun. There were no worries, just fun times with each other. Some things were changing. The young couple discovered they were going to be parents.
Mike now had two beautiful girls in his life. The young parents were unsure of the future but they knew they were going to discover it together. All three of them.
Life as a family has been full of adventure. They did it their way. They did it together. And, before they knew it time had flown by. Kerri will soon complete college and their little girl has started school.
Mike had been working on a surprise and on February 14, 2016 he presented Kerri with a homemade gift. The fact that Mike had made a homemade gift was nothing new. He had been making them for her for years. This one was different. It was extra special. Inside Kerri would find the real surprise.
What makes them an amazing couple is their love for their family and the quirkiness they share. The newly engaged couple had a wedding to plan. They share a love of Halloween and horror movies. They set a date!
To the joy and excitement of many of us, the happy couple were married on Friday, October 13, 2017.
A reception was held October 28, 2017 to celebrate "The Fotheringham's". In true Mike and Kerri fashion, the reception was a fun-filled event with the party-goers dressed in costume. The couple very perfectly dressed like Forrest and Jenny because....well, they go together like peas and carrots.
This unconventional couple made their celebration a fun time for everyone. From the Swenson's food truck to the tiny donuts from Peace Love and Little Donuts. Their party was a huge success! For me, the best moment was when their little girl got the party started by sneaking into daddy's phone and turning on Michael Jackson's "Thriller". She filled the dance floor. She danced the night away to music provided by The Ohio Weather Band. The boys in the band are friends of Mike, Dustin, Eric and Wayne. They did a fantastic job!

Thank you to Mike and Kerri for a wonderful evening. Thanks to them all those little boys who grew up to be great friends were in one room. If only for a couple hours, the night was amazing having all of them together.
By now, you may be asking yourself what does this story have to do with Northeast Ohio Rocks! Mike has been a part of my life since he became a part of my sons lives. Yep, he sort of belongs to the "rock lady" and when you belong to the "rock lady" and you are having a party... well, let's just say painted rocks were involved.
